MCB – Miniature Circuit Breaker is a device that ensures safety and in most electrical appliances that are used for industrial or domestic purposes. The Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) is frequently utilized in low-voltage applications such as household lighting and industrial solar application.
MCBs are classified into different types according to tripping over the range of fault current. The important MCB types are as follows: Type B MCB; Type C.
Contactor -is a switching device, widely used for the switching of motors, capacitors (for power factor correction), and lights. As the name indicates it is used to make or break contacts like an ordinary on-off switch. The only difference is that the contactors have an electromagnet that holds the contacts when energized whereas switches do not have it.
The contactors are classified as power contact, auxiliary contact, and contact spring. There are two types of power contact; stationary contact and movable.
